I see there is a place in the Duvall forums for Toyota enthusiasts, how wonderful! I did not know there was such a business in the area. If the owner of John's Auto Repair monitors this thread, I'm just curious to know why he chose to focus on Toys?

Is anyone else in the forums a Toy lover? Why?

My first vehicle was an '83 4x4 pickup and let me tell you - you can't kill it if you tried! My current baby is an '87 4Runner, and they just don't make them like that anymore! I love how it resembles a truck, the true sport utility vehicle. I can pull down the tailgate and have a picnic right in the bed! The top comes off too! It doesn't run at the moment though, electical issues and the $$-draining need for an engine swap/rebuild keeps me from enjoying my ride. :pout: But I enjoy every minute working on her!

Nifty forum. I'm sorry I wasn't sent notification of your query. I'm John, of LJToY (http://www.ljtoy.com/). Toy trucks are the best foundation for buildable 4X4 truck ideas. Look how long they've been around and how easy it is to create Off-Road ToY's. You would really like the 88 4Runner I'm working on now. Pictures are cool, but to see it live is someting else. Remember, "I'm NOT just a ToY!"

Hey John! How is that '88 coming along?

I saw pictures on John's website (http://www.ljtoy.com) of his 88 4runner...I cried because it reminded me that my own Runner doesn't want to run! It looks like it could tackle any off-road trail! *SIGH* I'll just have to save my pennies to get my baby back on the road!

I dive it through town just to trip all the car alarms! The custom exhaust we built at L.J. ToY is about 2 decibals below max!

Hey Jon,

Do you happen to have any 3/4 ton front diff (Namely a dana 44)? I'm in need of a whole diff or unless you got a ring and pinion laying around that's a 45-11.

Yeah for the K5 but the whole underside is for 3/4 ton HD :) I stripped the whole front end out from underneath, so I'm scouring now from axle to axle on the front end... Dana 44 which I believe it is, I think a guy out of Preston has one I found on craigslist. I'll call him in a bit to ensure he's awake. (Yes I'm building a beast, not like Jeb's Dad) did... LOL That guy built a top heavy crazy truck, have you seen that?

We are now offering SNOW PLOWS!
This is a low cost alternative to missing work or having related medical issues from shovling snow.
I'll have photos of the 4runr fitted with a plow very soon.
